When you hear “Tick Borne Disease” you almost definitely think “Lyme Disease”. And while that’s the most prevalent and perhaps dangerous disease introduced by ticks to our pets and ourselves, it’s not the only danger.
In the NEXT episode, we’re taking a deep dive into Lyme Disease with some great new information that Dr. Buzby can’t wait to share, but this week we’re highlighting and discussing a range of illnesses that can be directly traced to your dogs exposure to ticks.
No matter the state or region, no matter the time of year, this episode will prepare you to prevent tick exposure, find and eliminate them when your dog is bitten and how to respond if you or your pet is actually infected with one of “the big five” mentioned here below.
1. Lyme disease
2. Ehrlichia
3. Anaplasmosis
4. Babesia
5. Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever
