Immerse 16 ToeGrips® dog nail grips in isopropyl alcohol—they do not need to soak for any length of time. By applying wet, the alcohol serves as a lubricant, helping you “work” the ToeGrips® dog nail grips into position with less resistance. Illustrated directions are printed inside each package, and you can watch Dr. Buzby’s short video on how to apply ToeGrips.
Please keep in mind that ToeGrips® dog nail grips must create the GripZoneTM to enable traction. Proper sizing and correct placement are critical for success.

Can I soak in WitchHazel?
Julie Buzby DVM says
Hi Shari,
I personally haven’t tried witch hazel, but it should work just fine. The alcohol just helps to lubricate the grips to allow them to side on. Once the alcohol evaporates it leaves the grips in place, so they don’t slide back off. And it is really more of just a dip than a soak. The ToeGrips only need to go into the alcohol for a couple seconds. So as long as the witch hazel evaporates quickly it should work just the same.

Thank you! I was just going to ask this. So glad it was an easy lookup

What percent alcohol must we use? We have several options including 70% 91 and 19 9% alcohol and the options at our store. Thank you.
Julie Buzby says
Hi David,
This is a great question, and I think you’re the first person to ever ask it! The qood news is that it really doesn’t matter. Anything up to (and including) 70% is fine. Thanks for being so conscientious!
