Is Dr. Buzby’s Brain Boost safe to give with other medications?

Although MCT oil is generally regarded as a very safe supplement, we always recommend consulting with your regular veterinarian before adding any supplements to your dog’s daily routine.

Research has shown that MCT oil may inhibit cytochrome P450 function in the liver, which slows the rate of metabolism of certain medications including antifungal and antiepileptics.  If your dog is currently on antiepileptic medication please read this FAQ.
